Properties of Galaxies in X-ray Bright and Faint Groups

Adam Royle (McMaster University)

Laura Parker (McMaster University)

The observed characteristics of galaxies depend on the environment in which they are found. The most common environment in the local universe is the galaxy group environment and so the group scale is vital to an overall understanding of galaxy evolution. This work focuses on comparing observed galaxy properties in X-ray bright and faint groups in the GEEC sample, and how those properties depend on stellar mass, group mass, position within the group and redshift.
